Recently I photographed a beautiful girl in her wedding dress at Belle Meade Plantation. I wish I could show you her face but we will have to wait!! Here are some details from the georgeous viel, her hair and flowers.
Almost every afternoon Bear likes to go out and sit on the porch and watch. He watches for mostly other dogs walking by and cats.

I met Ashley and David at Edwin Warner Park for their enagement shoot last month. Ashley is such a beautiful girl...very bubbly...she's a former Titan's cheerleader and David is so cool and laid back...he's a brick salesman. These two met through a mutual friend and are getting married on the beach in South Carolina later this summer. Oh....and how could I forget about their sweet dog, Tyler. She was loving the water.
If it were not for Bear I probably would not know anyone!! He is such a social guy and loves all his buddies that he sees daily. Here are two more.
The best part of spring is the new blooms. It is so exciting to see the trees bud. The dogwoods are in bloom as are the tulip poplars! How sad it is when we get hit with a freeze that kills it all. As it warms up again some things come back in bloom but the trees still look like it is fall without the color.
I am embarrassed to say that these are from the day before Easter....yikes!! They are super cute and I am sure the moms are waiting to see them. This is the Easter brunch at the Fowlers, my super cool neighbors who live a few blocks away.
About 60% of my clients choose not to see each other prior to their ceremony. I have to say that I am a big fan of seeing each other before the ceremony because it gets all those photos out of the way!!! I am always happy to follow the wishes of my clients not to see each other...so this means that after I photograph a bridal session I can't really post anything on my blog, just in case her groom starts snooping around my website. This makes me sad as I love shooting bridal sessions and am always so excited to share what I have captured.....so now I present....mystery bride.. abstracts, details....
I was looking through my blog this morning and saw these photos from the Anti-Workshop November 06 and thought I would bring them to front for a couple of reasons. The first being that this is a fantastic workshop taught by two incredible studios, Boutwell Studio and Atlf, both are very cutting edge and very true to their style! The second reason is because the models, Jen and Steve Bebb of Bebb Studio are quite famous in their own right being chosen by American Photo as one of the ten best wedding photography studios in the WORLD!! Super nice people and recently spoke at the Digital Wedding Forum convention in Vegas at the end of March about urban wedding photography. Their website is www.tyingtheknot.com.
I was so excited when Elizabeth contacted me at the beginning of the year to photograph her pregnant belly. I first met Elizabeth about four years ago. I was working on a project for my dentist, Dr. Cristin Wallace here in Nashville. We were shooting people who had cosmetic dentisty at Dr. Wallace's office and Elizabeth was one of the models. After that she hired me to photograph her wedding. They flew down to the middle of Florida for what was a super fun wedding weekend at a hunting lodge. The most memorable thing for me was on Friday night when we all rode these swamp buggies to the rehearsal dinner through farm land. Very fun!!
So now three years later she and Anthony, who is a fabulous vet by the way, are having twins!! I can not wait to photograph the babies when they arrive. Elizabeth just looks so beautiful!
On the first day of the convention a group of photographers and some models got together for a shoot out! This was so much fun. Most of my images are of Melanie and Sean, a couple of hot photographers from Franklin turned models! They were very much in demand for several sessions! Maybe they have a second career on the horizon.
