that are soooo cute, like a six month old with dimples!
I was so excited to see J at six months. He has changed so much and stayed the same. He is so cute and so curious and a very good model! I began photographing him when his mom was just about to give birth to him. I can't wait to see him at nine months.
Some LOVE from a Client
Mary, I just wanted to tell you how much I absolutely LOVE the pictures from our big day that you posted on your blog! Can't stress that LOVE anymore! They are so neat, and so artistic, but at the same time so classic and just....exactly what I have always wanted for my wedding pictures- and that's just a few of them! Those moments you captured just took my breath away. I just cannot wait to see the whole batch, I CAN'T WAIT! I have just loved having you as my photographer, and wanted to tell you that:) Have a great long weekend! Much love to you, Lindsey

Congratulations to Rene and Trisha who tied the knot yesterday in Nashville! The had a 1 o'clock Catholic ceremony at Wightman Chapel on Vanderbilt's campus. Because the reception did not start until 5 we had some time to do photos after the ceremony and to take a much needed break.
The three Rene's. Rene, the groom; Rene, grandfather; Rene, the FOG. Grandfather Rene shared with me how happy he was that ALL his family was there and that he loved them ALL!
Trisha's moh had a beautiful updo.
R+T enter their reception as Mr and Mrs.
Ding, ding, ding....kiss!
The cake. So sad as I really, really, really wanted a piece. It looked like strawberry and vanilla and was served with Haagen Daas mango sorbet...so sad for me.
Not to fret too long as the going away favors were these yummy chocolate cake, ganache bon bon things. They saved the night for me.
I love 14K Gold! Man, they were rockin;! My favorite thing that they would say was, "we're 14 karat gold from Atlanta Georgia." And then when they were performing their last song it was, "we are 14 karat gold from Atlanta Georgia and we have to get back to Atlanta." I can not say enough fabulous things about this band's music. I felt like I was at a concert and not a wedding. I was even dancing. And the bride and groom, dancing all night, everybody...dancing all night!
Trisha and Rene's getaway from the reception was done in the Slavic tradition. First her godfather sang this sweet song in Slavic and while this was happening Trisha sat in Rene's lap and her mom removed her viel and placed a cap on her head that was from generations past in her family. After the ceremony, a line formed and each person gave money and had a short, short dance with the bride. As each person left the dance they were offered a shot!! Then Rene came back and tried to get his bride only to be met with opposition from the men in Trisha's family. Rene grabs Trisha, they run off, get in a car and leave. It was so cool. When I went back in people were saying, :Did they really leave?"
So Happy Together!!
This past Saturday was such a lovely day! Not only were the skies beautiful, the air was fresh and clean. It was a beautiful day for a wedding. Stephanie and Josh were married and had their reception at St. Henry's Catholic Church. Stephanie wore a dress that was re designed from the original dress her grandmother and mother wore at their weddings. She looked so beautiful and she was glowing! Josh looked super handsome in his black tux and was so excited when they met before the ceremony. It was such a sweet moment. After the ceremony, everyone headed to the fellowship hall and were greated with cosmopolitans. They were actually severed through an ice sculpture. Skyline Drive was the band that entertained everyone and during the band break a special surprise slide show played. Everyone loved it!! The bride's mom has some wonderful friends as they helped with a lot of the decorating, including designing the floral arrangements.
Happy wedding day to Stephanie and Josh! They are tying the knot tonight at St. Henry's Catholic Church here in Nashville. I am really looking forward to it. I have been told that this is the first wedding to be held in St. Henry's new sanctuary. As a former St. Henry's grad from a very long time ago I am looking forward to going back.
Historic Old Hickory Village Home Tour
I like the way Historic Old Hickory Village by the Lake Home Tour sounds! It is set for tomorrow, Saturday, May 19th from 10-5. This year I am sponsoring a house. The green house in the 900 block of Clarke Street owned by this cute couple and their three dogs. These two are super creative! Their house will be featured on the tv show, "Find and Design" which airs on A&E in July. Very exciting for our little village. Come check out Nashville's hidden gem located between Hermitage and Madison and situated on Old Hickory Lake. For more info check out our website.
You Gotta Have Friends!
On May 12th at 7pm Lindsey Wallace walked down the aisle of the Brentwood United Methodist Church with her dad, Larry by her side to meet the love of her life, Britton Hennig to start the next chapter of their lives.
I titled this article "You gotta have friends!" because these two have so many people in their lives that love and cherish them. Each had 13 attendants with Britton having his dad and brother also.
Lindsey and her friends have this little tradition of passing around a little bag with a bride and groom on the front of it to each other....the next girl to get married will get the bag. It is so cute. I included a photo of the bag in one of the mini galleries.
Another cool thing they did was have a big bus take many of the guests to Hillwood County Club for the reception.
The vendors that made this day run without a hitch?? Elizabeth James, Event Planner for one. I love working with Elizabeth and count her as one of my friends as I have been working with her for several years now. Also I have to thank her assistant Windsor who always helps me with photos.
Billie Mochow made the cakes and they were beautiful and especially delicious!! Terry at the English Garden created some beautiful floral arrangements. Everyone danced to the groovy sounds of Inception. And THERE WAS alot of dancing going on!! They left in the famous vintage Jaguar (my favorite getaway car) from Matchless Limos loaded with all they would need for their honeymoon which would begin early the next morning.
Another georgeous couple!!
Today is Lindsey and Britton's wedding day. They will be married at Brentwood United Methodist Church with a reception at Hillwood Country Club. Happy Wedding Day!
The times I have spent with Lindsey at our initial consultation, the engagement session and bridal sessions have been so much fun! She is a creative and beautiful woman! I have not spent as much time with the groom but can tell how in love he and Lindsey are.
They say if it rains on your wedding day....
good luck with be yours! Maggie and Ben will have loads of good luck. Fortunately, the rain stopped by the time everyone got to the church.
The wedding and reception were incredible. First let me say that everyone looked beautiful and handsome especially Maggie and Ben. When I arrived in the bride's room it looked like back stage at a fashion show. Makeup artists from Private Edition and Woo Skincare lined up against the windows while two hair stylists did their thing. They had 15 women to get ready!!
Before I arrived at the church I dropped off my friend Andrea Hallgren at the Waldron's house so that she could park her car. Andrea helped me by being available to drive my car from the church to the reception so that I could ride the trolley with the bride and groom so as not to get stuck in the valet line at the house. She second shot for me and I can not wait to see what she saw!!
The reception was nearing completion of being set up when we arrived at the house....it just amazes me how fast things can come together! Elizabeth James deserves a huge round of applause for coordinating the day. I don't know how she does it??? I would be a basket case especially with the rain, but clear skies came and the tents looked beautiful. They were clear and were illuminated by handing tea lights. Everything was white....it was just stunning. There was a long tent and larger dining tent located on the driveway for guests and then to the back of that, seating under trees. Around the back another tent covered the food area and then followed around to the other side of the house, a long tent with more seating and bar at the end and then the dance floor/stage with banquet seating and another bar. Off to that was the bathroom area. Wow. If you saw where the house was, in a really beautiful subdivision you might have wondered....how in the world? It was done and it was looked AMAZING!!
Guests started arriving at the church just before 6pm for the 7 o'clock ceremony. The ceremony was beautiful...short and sweet and full of lots of love. After photos, post ceremony, the bridal party left in the trolley. We arrived at the reception about 8:30. The porch looked stunning with the spray of white flowers over the door, the french doors open to the dining room displaying two beautiful cakes by wedding cake guru, Lealand Riggins and the doors open to the foyer displaying the bridal portrait her mom selected to hang in the house. After a few more photos of the bridal party on the steps, a choir lead the bride groom, their parents and bridal party to the dance floor to the tune of "O Happy Day". This was very cool. Once on the dance floor the couple continued dancing to "O Happy Day" and then had their first dance to the song, "At Last". This was the perfect song choice for them as they have been together for ten years. Pat Patrick Band provided the music.
At midnight Maggie and Ben left through a sea of rose petals to the sound of horns. They boarded the vintage Jaguar and headed off to spend their first night together as Mr and Mrs Parsley!
Today is Cinco di Marriage!!
Today is the big day for Maggie and Ben. I first met Maggie and Ben over a year ago at her parents house. I have really grown to love these two...yes I said love. I have spent lots of time with them and their families have made me feel like family especially Maggie's mom and sister. I am so excited that they chose me to document this momentous day. The photos with this article were taken late last July at Ben's aunts house. A beautiful historic pre cival war home with the river running behind it. Beautiful property! Beautiful couple! Happy wedding day Maggie and Ben!
